"Photographic ID for second appointment"

(as a service user),

I arrived for my 2nd appointment today after walking 40mins to get there. I was told I couldn’t enter the building because I didn’t have photographic ID. I had my appointment notification on my phone, I had the vaccination record card.

I wrongly assumed that because it was a 2nd appointment I didn’t need to produce photographic ID as this was checked at the first appointment. There was also no reference on the appointment notification to alert me that it was required for the 2nd appointment.

I had to walk 40mins home to get the ID and walk the 40 mins back again. 

Might I suggest that there is a reminder put on the text notification telling you what is required for the 2nd appointment.

Thanks for this feedback and I'm sorry you were inconvenienced but we are required to verify identification with photographic ID for both doses.

We have raised the potential of adding this to the text reminder but this leaves the message too long and it cant be fitted onto the text. We will raise it again.
