I write on behalf of my entire family.

The commitment, dedication and tireless care of the entire staff in Surgical 2 has been overwhelming.

Led by Sister Dyson we, as a family, want to thank the staff in Surgical 2 for their professionalism, communication, time and kindness shown. Simply taking time out of their incredibly busy days to come to the phone and update us has comforted and reassured us in these incredibly challenging times. To all the disciplines involved who have propelled the progress of our Daddy, working alongside the nursing staff who have been incredible. To all of you we applaud you and want you to know how much we appreciate everything you do. You took time to get to know our Daddy, delivering messages and enquiring about his likes and dislikes, facilitating phone calls and talking through photos.  You listened to and answered our questions. You addressed all of Daddy’s medical needs expertly and urgently - from the start we shared a common goal. From each individual who sat with Daddy, ward clerk, to the student Doctors, the nurses, Sister, Registrar, Consultant, the involvement of all disciplines: SaLT; Physiotherapy and Radiology, we acknowledge your efforts and expertise. 

You comforted and supported us as a family. We are beyond grateful for the care you have given our Daddy.

Hello Bregagh, my name is Matt and I am the Site Lead Radiographer in Causeway Hospital. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback about the team in Radiology. We are just one part of a large team of staff that work together to support patients, their families and carers in their journey of care. We support our medical colleagues by providing imaging for diagnostics which dictates a patients’ treatment plan. This is of huge importance to our patients’ experience whilst in hospital, and it is great to receive feedback acknowledging such an important team. Dear Bregagh,

I am Blaithnid Hughes, the General Manager for Surgery in Causeway. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us and for making the teams aware of the profound impact they had on not only your father but on the wider family circle.

Nothing could have prepared our hospital teams for the last 12 months and yet amidst the chaos, each and every team has risen to the challenge and delivered exceptional patient-centered care.

I am tremendously proud of Sr Dyson and her whole team on the S2 Ward; providing safe, effective and compassionate care is all they know and it is my privilege to work with them. Thank you again for taking the time to lift our spirits - it is greatly appreciated.
