What complete madness just now at the surgery. Who thought it was a good idea for so many people to come at the same time for their covid jabs. People everywhere, queueing out into the car park and beyond very little social distancing - absolutely ridiculous!!! Cars causing chaos trying to get in and out. Not very well organised at at all!!!

I am sure you are fully aware of the pressure that Primary Care is under at the moment - we are doing our utmost to deliver second vaccines (within the correct timescales) whilst maintaining all other services. The vaccination programme is in addition to all our normal work.

All patients are given an individual appointment times but, as sometimes happens, everyone arrived together for the first session of the afternoon yesterday.

We were monitoring the situation and it quickly dispersed and resolved itself.

Yesterday afternoon we administered over 500 vaccines - thanks to a brilliant team of hard working professionals - many of whom came in and worked additional hours to achieve this.

However I take on board you comments and will keep the vaccination programme under review.
