"Struggling to fix a problem"

About: Nethergreen Surgery

Disappointed in my normally great GP practice. My profoundly disabled and vulnerable daughter had her first Covid jab 12 weeks ago, but the date was incorrectly recorded on the system as being a month later. I and her carers have tried multiple times to get the records changed and get an appointment for her second jab and were assured this had been done, but found today that they seem to have reverted to the position that their original records are correct and we'll have to wait another month. A doctor will ring me, but the receptionist could not tell me whether this would be today, this week, or in the next month and she was impatient that I was taking time which they and the surgery staff need to handle acute cases. My daughter is very vulnerable, I'm worried for her, and I don't know what else to do.

Hello,

I'm really sorry to hear of the difficulties you have had getting this information corrected and a second dose arranged from your daughter.

Please contact me at the surgery if we have not already been in touch and I will make sure we get this resolved urgently once I know your daugher's details.

Unfortunately the covid vaccination campagin has come with a number of challenges including several new systems and rapidly changing guidance which cause a great deal of uncertainty for staff and patients alike.
