"Our mums stroke"

(as a relative),

Stroke Unit East Wing Woodend Hospital - our family would like to express our deepest appreciation and thanks for all the care, love and attention you gave to our mum while she was in your care from November to February.

When she arrived with you she was unable to walk, sit up or get out of bed unaided. On her discharge she climbed 20 stairs to get into our home, walked using her trolley and was reunited with her family.

She can now walk a few steps unaided, can make a cuppa, help in the kitchen on a good day and is also so grateful to each individual member of staff for their very personalised care.

So a massive thanks to the full team in east wing from the whole family.

Dear Clif5

Thank you for taking the time to post this for the team in Stroke East, it has been shared with them. It is always lovely to hear how our patients are doing and we are delighted to hear that your Mum had such a positive experience. I hope your Mum continues to improve and we wish her and you all the best.
