I had my baby in February this year and was lucky enough to have access to the Fife Breast Feeding Support Service. Following a c-section, due to a breech baby, I found breast feeding challenging as she was a very sleepy baby for the first 24/48 hours, which I think may have affected how quickly my milk came in. I also struggled to get a good latch with her and suffered from severe nipple trauma which subsequently resulted in an infection.
Having additional support at home was so important to help me to continue breastfeeding when it became very difficult, and gave me the reassurance & support I needed .
