I attended all my antental appointments with the Community Midwives in Banbridge Health Centre.
The midwives that i had were Mabel, Christine, Diane and Yvonne. They were all fantastic. I looked forward to every appointment.
At each appointment they checked in on me and how i was coping with pregnancy as this was my first baby. They were thorough with checking baby, making sure they got a clear heartbeat, checking baby's growth etc which was always reassuring.
As this was my first baby i always had lots of questions and they always took the time to answer them or explain things i didn't understand.
As baby was did not arrive on the due date, i was offered a routine sweep and i declined on the first occasion. Diane respected that decision and did not make me feel pressured to have this done. Instead we had a chat about it and made a plan. This is what personal centred care is all about.
Mabel, Christine, Diane and Yvonne gave me the highest standard of care and i always left every appointment feeling reassured and content that my pregnancy was going well.
They are a credit to the Southern Trust, they are fantastic midwives!
