From the point at which we were arrived at the hospital we were well treated. Everything was very organised and COVID safe.
My daughter has had several operations so knows what to expect which has its advantages and disadvantages! She's 12 years old and flitting between being a grown up and a child. Everyone we dealt with nurses, doctors, consultants & support staff all pitched their interactions with her perfectly treating her like a grown up but knowing when she needed them to be more supportive. This put her at ease making the experience as good as it could be for both of us. Afterwards everyone on the ward was supportive and helpful. Although the ward was busy nothing was a problem. Having tea and coffee brought round on the ward was great. As only one parent is allowed on the ward it meant I didn't need to leave my daughter to get a drink.
"Everyone was supportive and helpful"
