"Daughter's appointment"

About: Solihull Hospital / Breast surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has waited 6 mths for a breast appointment after discovering a lump. We were then given an appointment in Solihull we live in Erdington. The appointment letter gave us no map no advice on how to get to the hospital.

We read the letter which clearly stated she could have someone attending with her.

After finally finding our way via train and on foot, we arrived to be told I could not accompany her despite the letter saying i could. Staff were not apologetic at all, muttering something about having told them to change it.

I have now spent money on getting here via public transport that I didn't need to...and my daughter has had to go through an anxiety provoking appointment with no support.
