I’m left feeling worse than I did before I spoke to the crisis team. The person I spoke to was not understanding of my problems and kept trying to finish my sentences off and getting them wrong which was highly frustrating. They will ask you if you have anything that stops you from harming yourself such as children’s or a family member and if you do they clung very tightly to that and presume that you definitely aren’t going to do anything silly. They seemed to have no understanding at all about how mental health works and really should be removed from their role or retrained. This is the second poor experience I’ve had with these people and judging by previous reviews this isn’t a one off. Although this review will lead to nothing, I wanted to write it anyway in the hope that other people who have been treated the same way will know that it isn’t just them having problems with the crisis team. Peoples lives are at stake and they seem to think it’s all a big joke. They might need help themselves one day and when they do I hope they are greeted by the same kind of response.
"Horrendous experience "
