I attended the Day Procedures Unit in March and April 2021.
As a former senior staff member in the Health Service I would have a detailed knowledge of sevices and the standards of care required for an effective service.
My treatment consisted of IV Infusions for Ulcerative Colitis.
My overall impression of the facility and standards of nursing care were excellent.
The environment was bright and spacious which was conducive in itself. Care began punctually on each occasion as planned. The nursing staff demonstrated a high level of competence. They were professional at all times, pleasant and friendly. Any questions I had about the treatment were answered clearly. Health and Safety practice was also of a high standard, especially with the current Covid situation. I noted that two Open University student nurses on placement were very well supported by nursing staff.
In conclusion, my impression was of an excellent facility with excellent nursing staff
