I would not recommend this service to anyone suffering from complex mental health issues. My therapist said every single session that she couldn't understand me, and it seemed she just didn't know what to do with me. I feel like this further traumatised me, instead of helping me like it should have.
You get 6-8 sessions I think, and then you're on your own. I made it to four but the therapist was so dismissive and unhelpful I stopped going. You can reapply after the set number of sessions, but the wait list was nearly a year when I went there, as I applied in 2018 and didn't get any therapy until mid 2019.
The therapy type was also particularly unhelpful for complex trauma, I was offered CBT which is not the best for the symptoms I was experiencing. I also found the questionnaire about suicide to be quite ridiculous, as this was to be filled out before each session.
All in all, an awful experience, I'm finally in a position where I'm able to afford therapy privately, and I feel like I'm having to pay now to rectify the mistakes of the incompetent therapist at this mental health service.
