"Rude & extremely unhelpful"

About: Merridale Medical Centre (Rp Tew)

I am a disabled man of colour in his 50s. I attended to have my first Covid19 vaccination after being referred by a member of staff from the school in which my daughter works. When I arrived I waited at the front of the queue using my walking stick for support as I have problems standing for long periods of time. A lady opened the gate and immediately went straight past me and invited the 8 people behind me to come in for their vaccination totally ignoring me. By this point I could hardly stand so when she came back out I stood right in front of her so she couldn't ignore me. I was then requested to go and sit in a marque while they sorted the group out. Whilst waiting I was given the 3rd degree about who had referred me and why, no one else was given this treatment and at the time they were literally going over to the shops opposite to ask people to come for their vaccine so that the vaccines didn't go to waste. I told them that I had been referred by a staff member at the school my daughter works at and gave her name. I was then told that they hadn't been informed and at this point I was embarrassed enough to want to leave but the staff member walked away and I got my first dose of vaccine. A number of weeks later I was telephoned and asked to attend for my second dose of the vaccine. I attended at the given time and again waited at almost the front of the queue. When we were called in the staff member again went straight past me to the people behind and it was only because these people said that I was first that she had to deal with me. She then told me that I had been on the previous list and therefore would have to go to the back of the queue of at least 40 people and wait to see if there were any spaces as they need to deal with the 'entitled' people first or they could re-book me. At this point I was so humiliated that I left and told them not to bother as I would never visit the surgery again (which feels like what they wanted). I admit that I could of got the time wrong, but to treat someone in this way is unacceptable. Especially being told to go to the back of the queue of entitled people when it was obvious that I could barely stand up.
