I went into A&E with a detached retina and was triaged and looked after by the wonderful staff there including two so helpful doctors. I was referred to the opthalmology department by A&E and the consultant there drove in especially to see me, which was so very helpful to me, as it turned out that I needed an emergency operation.
So thankful to L&D and our NHS for doing such an amazing job.
