"Potential spiking"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as a service user),

I had drinks with a guy I’d met online, everything was fine until he got my last drink. After taking a few sips I can’t remember anything until the next morning. I still have no recollection of the night after that.

Naturally I was concerned so called SARC who gave advice, I didn’t report it to the police as I was unsure what had happened and was told they wouldn’t be able to tell me whether I had been spiked.

I went and got the morning after pill from a local pharmacy and waited for an appointment for sexual health screening.

The appointment didn’t take long to come through but had been advised they wouldn’t do the tests for 2 weeks for incubation reasons.

The day of the appointment I had bloods taken and did a vaginal self swab. Results came through via text message a few days later (all clear)
