"Urgent Care "

About: Manor Hospital

Attended urgent care with an appointment made by 111. Appointment was at 23.10 but wasn’t seen until an hour later. When I enquired about the wait with receptionist she was the rudest person ever and her response was “you’ll be seen when you’re seen”. When I did eventually get called in the Dr didn’t listen to me or examine me and just prescribed antibiotics and painkillers. When I queried this with him he said the 111 referral told him all he needs to know...turns out that wasn’t true as my GP sent me for an urgent ultrasound which has resulted in a cancer diagnosis. This visit to urgent care and other contributing factors of this hospital has made me decide that I will receive my care from another hospital from now on. My cancer treatment will now be provided elsewhere as my trust has been completely lost.

You have also referred to other contributing factors of the hospital - we would of course be willing to learn more about this - please do contact us via Patient Relations 01922 656463 or email patientrelations@walsallhealthcare.nhs.uk
