"Wrecked my life"

About: Southmead Hospital

Came in after having excrutiating migranes and feeling faint for a week. I was given a ct and that was ok but they insisted on a lumbar puncture too.

Done by a nurse who hit a nerve going in sending pain down my spine. Ive been in terrible pain since (now March 2021).

Bedridden for a year, can’t drive or walk more than 20 meters but Southmead bothered? No.

I had one appointment with a neurologist who told me I should be fine by Feb 2021 (not true).

My Second appointment was supposed to phone over the phone but he didn’t bother to call, I just got a new appointment letter for May.

Inbetween in June 2020 I had stroke symptoms. Attended A&E where I overheard a Dr refer them me as a ‘frequent flyer’ (I have attended a few times as Ive had autoimmune illness for years). Im an intelligent woman who can understand such terms. My blood was taken, deemed ‘normal’ then I was sent away. I mentioned my back agony then too nut not interested.

After a year of this Im now suffering scary depression and gave worrying thoughts but whats the point in seeking help when nobody gives a crap that Im left disabled and theres no support available.
