My regular GP is very competent however, the reception staff are very rude and unprofessional.
After as requested filling in an e-consultant a week ago I was told that a GP would contact me today at 2 pm, as my regular GP was on holiday.
I was sent a text just before 10am saying that your appointment is the 15th - 2 weeks after my first e- consultation.
The 3rd March I asked to speak to a GP as my breathing very poor . The surgery refused to let me speak to any GP.
After an video appointment the same day with my allergy clinic they said call an ambulance now I called my GP to inform them , to cover themselves they finally gave in and I got a phone call only because the allergy clinic said call ambulance.
Needless to say it was too late and I ended up in A and E by ambulance and was put on a nebuliser and a drip.
It could have been very dangerous as the surgery repose now is you can’t speak to anyone else but your regular GP call 111 or go to A and E.
Today they did they same thing refused to speak to me even after having an appointment, the response was “who said you have an appointment?” The receptionist yesterday. I was again told to call 111 .
I called 111 which is a waste of the NHS resources , the doctor was very good but said that there was no reason why my GP should not speak to me and he would message them, and get a GP from my surgery to call me. The surgery refused again just reiterated your appointment is the 15 April, if you need to get medical advice before this call 111 or go to A and E.
I have put in formal complaints and so far only got a holding email. When I asked to please speak to the practice manager the staff says he’s not available but will call you back.
Disappointed as I used rate the surgery highly I have had amazing GPs. It’s more the reception / admin team who difficult and rude and unprofessional and unsafe as I did need an ambulance.
"Unprofessional rude staff "
