"The worst NHS appointment I have ever attended."

On leaving my car in the signposted car park I then searched in the pouring rain in vain for a sign to point me in the direction of the clinic, there was none. Speaking to the very few people I met were all students who couldn't help me. Eventually I met someone that pointed to a building in the right hand corner of the complex. Going down the path to this building and on arrival I see the sign on the wall "Phoenix South West Building" and over the door it said Visitors. I had finally reached my destination after arriving at the car park at 10am; it had now taken me 35 minutes so far. Both the double doors were locked and the only thing that I thought might be a form of announcing my arrival was a silver coloured square box on the right hand side but pushing, hitting and speaking to it nothing happened. I then started knocking on the door and shouting loudly to attract attention to acknowledge my visit but again this proved to be hopeless. It was now 10.45 and standing there soaked to the skin and so tired and frustrated I gave up and came home.

I will add that I suffer with peripheral vascular disease in my legs and also undergoing cardiac treatment meaning that I can only walk a short distance before having to take a breather and ease the pain in my legs and lower back. Putting this clinic at the very bottom of a hill with unposted access down a path with a series of steps is to my mind thoughtless. Wheelchair access would be impossible by this route but I am aware that a road that is apparently only available to trade vehicles can access this building but yet again there is no sign at the top of this road pointing to this particular building.

All in all my thoughts are that to use this building for this purpose is ill thought out and not a patch on all the other NHS premises I have visited throughout the Bradford Area.

I the past for this service I have always except once been appointed to Horton Park Avenue with Heaton Road just once, why change to this shambolic setup?

ps. To add insult to injury when leaving the car park the metal plates in the road that prevent entry by this lane scraped the underside of my car, any damage sustained if any is still to be evaluated.
