"Home dialysis"

About: Ayrshire & Arran Community Services

(as a relative),

I recently lost my mother to ill health, she was my dad's primary carer and home dialysis nurse. I have since took over that role. Lesley who is one of the home dialysis nurses took me under her wing and has trained me up in a matter of weeks. She has been a wonderful support before and after my mother passed away to my family.

I cannot express how much this means to my dad being able to dyalise at home again.

All and all the care he has received from lesley and the rest of the nurses at the unit is second to none.

Dear Dyalisis buddy

Thank you for your kind post. Please accept my sincere condolensces on the death of your mother.

I was delighted to read that Lesley has been a support to you and your dad at such a difficult time and I was especially pleased to hear that her support has made it possible for your dad to continue to dialyse at home.

Our dialysis team are highly skilled and provide an invaluable service across Ayrshire.

I will ensure they get to read your lovely post.

Sending you and your dad my best wishes on behalf of NHS Ayrshire and Arran

Kind Regards

Laura
