I arrived at Calderdale Halifax and was sent to a waiting room. A passing woman in scrubs asked why I had been left there as I looked in active labour. When they checked me I was 10cm and given gas and air and a bed quite quickly.
An hour later she was here. After we had been asleep afew hours a fog horn nurse came in to our room in the middle of the night turning on all the lights, shouting they where moving me and wheeling off my baby in that trolly. My partner sleeping on the chair in a state of panic scurried up all my belongings to follow me.I was then left bleeding on a mat for many hours (5? ) worried and dirty sticky requiring vaginal stitches. They finally came to collect to me and took me for stitches. I then was taken to a room with other ladies in for next few days. I couldn't wait to go home. I spent 2 weeks with sore nipples as no one had told me about latching etc. I felt neglected but the nurses where lovely and did all they could considering they where running around crazy so obviously under staffed.Felt like a cattle market and wish I had just stayed at home.
