"The clinical set up and team have been amazing"

I've been receiving treatment in South Tyrone Clinical Day Centre for 4 months now. My treatment is biologic infusions for Ulcerative Colitis. The clinical set up and team in South Tyrone have been amazing. I'm new to these treatments and was very nervous commencing an immune system lowering regime at the height of the pandemic. The Day Centre has ample space for safe social distancing, toilets within easy reach, is spacious and airy. The setting feels less intimidating than arrival and treatment at the main hospital sites of CAH or DHH. The team - nurses, doctors, healthcare support staff, have been fabulous in settling my nerves, explaining my treatments, helping me feel safe, and doing everything they can to ensure my experience goes smoothly every time. I'd be very happy to come to South Tyrone on a regular and ongoing basis for these treatments. Thank you to the team who've been so knowledgeable and supportive in this great safe space.
