(as a service user),

I was referred for colonoscopy in February as urgent GI nurse consultant Seth contacted me. We discussed my symptoms and also the procedure.

He advised me waiting time 6-8 weeks which was acceptable with Covid going on. After 2 weeks my symptoms got a bit worse. I phoned his secretary Karen to say I was happy to go to any hospital and also take cancellations at short notice. Karen had a lovely telephone manner and advised me she would pass this information on.

Within a couple of weeks procedure was done. I was given a call from Seth afterwards who explained everything to me. He had a lot of patience and understanding when discussing it. I have nothing but praise for the way I was treated.

I can only imaging how worrying the last few weeks must have been for you but was delighted to hear that Seth was able to provide explanation and reassurance which have helped you through the process both before and after the colonoscopy.
