About: Gartnavel General Hospital / Ophthalmology (eye problems) (Ward 1c)

(as the patient),

In December I developed an eye problem that required urgent attention, and my optician referred me directly to Gartnavel Hospital eye department. I was absolutely terrified as I've always been very scared of having anything wrong with my eyes.

However the treatment I received at Gartnavel couldn't have been better. Everyone that I saw, both on my initial visit and on my return in January, couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. In particular I must mention Fadi, who saw me in December and also Dr Sarode, who saw me in March.

They, along with three other people I saw briefly and whose names I don't know, showed the greatest possible understanding of my fears and allowed me both time and sympathy in their dealings with me. Now I won't be so scared when I have to return. I just feel very ashamed that I didn't write something sooner to thank these kind people

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of using the Ophthalmology Department of the Gartnavel General Hospital.

It was great to hear how all the staff pulled together and were able to put your mind at ease from the minute you walked through the doors, in what I can only imagine was an extremely anxious time for you.

I will be sure to pass on your comments to all the staff involved especially, Fadi and Dr Sarode, who I'm sure will be humbled to hear they were able to make your experience such a pleasant one.

I'm glad to hear you are no longer scared about visiting the hospital and thank you so much it really means a lot to all the staff in this difficult time.

Thank you for your reply. I made 2 errors in my story. The first doctor that I saw was Fadi, and I saw Dr $arode in January, not March. Thanks to them both.
