I was recently admitted to Woodlands Hospital Kettering for Total Colectomy on the Enhanced Recovery Programme as a NHS patient.
The care that I received by all staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The bonus for me was having a room and bathroom to myself especially as I was on the ward for longer period than expected.
My pain control, with the use of the Painbuster, was excellent and medical staff were very attentive and visited at least twice a day to check on my progress and pain status.
I felt safe and secure as coronavirus precautions were very strict - far more strict than I experienced at Kettering General Hospital.
All in all the whole atmosphere was bright and cheerful and gave a feeling of peace which helped me mentally.
"Excellent care for colorectal cancer"
