"Couldn't get seen"

Appointment system

This practice has over 15k patients on the register and barely any full time doctors !

I have to phone at 8am to get an appointment and by 8.30  after being number 50th in the queue I am told there’s no appointments left ! 

 Tried every day for 3 weeks for a lump and couldn’t get seen yet the surgery lately has been blaming Covid for this however this was happening for a good few years prior to Covid .

Sub contracted out by the nhs but nhs had to take over again due to 2-3 week turnaround for repeat prescriptions and other issues which ended up in our local paper .  Appointment system has been a shambles . Why have so many patients If they don’t have the staff to attend to them !!

Thank you very much for taking the time to share details of your experience with the appointment system at your GP practice. I am sorry to read of the difficulties you have had and can appreciate how frustrating this is.
