after ringing 111 because i got my contact stuck in my eyelid they told me to go to the alex (hospital) so i get there got seen by triage very quickly then 5 hours and 15 mins later i finally got called in i was literally in the bay 2 minutes and was sent on my way. Now usually i dont write reviews but i have to explain how slow and laid back an emergency department is there was 5 people in front of me and 2 ambulances came through whilst i was there so 8 people in total. when i went through the doors i could see atleast 4 bays empty and atleast 6 doctors/nurses stood round the desk having a laugh enjoying themselves. before writing this review its states on website to please be mindful of what to write because of the pressure the nhs is under due to covid-19, now there was no pressure there just pure laziness and they moan that they dont get another payrise maybe if they try to do there jobs to the best of there ability the nhs wouldnt be in the state it is now!! please be aware that this is just about A&E, the rest of the hospital from what ive seen has been brilliant sorry for the rant
"great hospital, the worst a&e in the country"
