Attended for blood test, booked appointment. Did not know where located on hospital complex, as no upto date information on web.
Poor communication, a few people queuing (3) no information on procedures for entry. Waited several mins after the person in front was allowed in. There was no obvious reason for the delay, several clerical staff behind desk chatting together. After several mins wait I proceeded thru the door. A member of staff then approached, took my temp, stuck a label on my jacket all without asking me. Told me to go to a small waiting area and I would be called. I heard a muffled call of my name (if I had been hard of hearing, would not of heard this call) The “phlebotomist” was poor at interacting with me, “told off” for being dehydrated. The cubicles are not set up as in the blood clinic and it was quite uncomfortable to have my blood taken here, also I was made to feel as though I was a hindrance. After always previously attending the blood clinic in the main hospital, and having excellent care, service does not come upto the standard I expect. I have never before felt I needed to post a review of an NHS service, but I was unhappy with this visit. I believe this service is outsourced however.
