I spent nearly 2 weeks in this hospital for rehab following a serious operation on a fractured femur and artificial hip. This followed a pretty poor 2 week experience in Basingstoke main hospital.
The detail and professionalism shown by every member of staff from the cleaners and junior carers up was exemplary.
The training that the staff must have gone through has left them all in complete control of their duties and of their patients.
The physio I was given daily was very thorough and helpful to me.
And, the food was almost up to 4 star standard. I've never enjoyed eating in hospitals as much as in Alton. I looked forward to every meal! Every dish was tasty, not spicy obviously being a hospital, but delicious.
I could go on and on about how good Alton Community hospital is, so if ever it is suggested that you are sent there for rehab don't hesitate!
"A truly wonderful rehab hospital"
