"Miscommunication, lack of professionalism "

About: South Bristol Community Hospital

My 9 weeks old baby reacted badly to immunisation, had fever for 2 days. My GP surgery advised if he still have fever after 48h ( on Saturday) we should go to the Urgent Care Centre. We went there in the afternoon as my baby still wasn’t feeling well. At the reception they asked about his symptoms and I explained that after his immunisation he had fever for 2 days and the other symptoms he also had. Because he had fever we were asked to wait in the car as they did not have available room and they said they would call me when they can see him. We were in the car for an hour when they called just to tell me that because he had fever they can’t see him and that they do not have a doctor either. I was then advised that I should take him to the children’s hospital. They could have told this in the first place. I find this behaviour disrespectful, unprofessional and as a worrying mother very upsetting.
