"suspicious lump removal"

About: Outpatients Centre / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I have a suspicious lump on my scalp which needed removed for a biopsy. I don't particularly like hospitals and needles so I was very anxious. I was put at ease by the Advanced Practitioner David and his assistant Hatiko. During the procedure David distracted me by asking about my life, family, interests, favourite tv programmes and managed to help keep my anxiety under control. I was very reassured and although it wasn't a great experience he helped to make it bearable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. It is great we were able to distract you from any unpleasantness, I tend to talk anxiety into submission!

I shall ensure Ildiko is aware of your kind comments.

Hopefully everything is healing as planned and you didn't feel too uncomfortable afterwards.

Thanks again

David
