"Hospital stay"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Wards 4 & 7)

(as a relative),

My father was admitted to The Monklands Hospital. He went via A& E then was admitted to intensive care 2 and then ward 7 before discharge. I would like to say all the staff that provided his care were amazing, they were so professional and very reassuring on the phone which provided so much comfort to us as a family. In particular I would like to recognise Joanne the doctor in A& E, Karen the doctor in Intensive Care 2, Ashley and Mary the nurses in intensive care 2. From Ward 7 Stephanie, Megan, Sophie and Lauren the student nurse, the care an attention they gave my dad was excellent.

Dear Ang 5

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about the care your father received during his emergency admission to the Hospital. This must have been a very worrying time for you and your family due to the current restrictions and I am glad that staff were able to reassure you and keep you informed of your father's progress.

I will pass on your lovely comments to all the areas you have highlighted as the staff will be really pleased to get such great feedback.

With very best wishes

Lynn McTavish
