Following a very concerning ECG at Surbiton Health Centre, I was advised to bring my wife to Kingston Hospital A&E. She had a very irregular heart rate, shortness of breath to the point of being unable to speak, and chest pain.
But in Kingston's A&E they only performed another ECG, a peak flow test and a bunch of blood tests. They kept her 6 hours to eventually tell her that all was normal and that A&E was not the place for breathing difficulties and her GP should have sent her to a pneumologist! Then she was simply sent back home.
The A&E doctor also suggested that she might be suffering from prior CoVId infection but refused to test her. As an extremely vulnerable patient, my wife has been shielding for almost a year! She has received the Pfizer vaccine end of January. Yet, none of that seemed to concern the doctor and we were sent away to fend for ourselves. This is not the first time we had a terrible experience in that A&E service but this is the last straw!
"Completely useless and dangerous"
