About: Southern Health & Social Care Trust / Virtual Visiting Service

(as a service user),

91 year old father entered hospital, no experience of using mobile phones. This service has been hugely important in helping us keep in touch with our dad and know that he is ok and in good form. The virtual visiting service is amazing important for families like us and we have really appreciated the staff co-ordinating the service, who have a lovely, kind manner and dealt with us and my father in a very caring, sympathetic way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the new Virtual Visiting Service in Southern Health and Social Services Trust. We recognise how difficult it is for families at the minute with the restricted visiting guidelines in place due to Covid 19. This new service has been established to try to support families and patients during this time and your story just lets us see how the important the service is. We are delighted to hear that you felt that the staff co-ordinating the service have a lovely kind manner and that they help you and your father in a very caring, sympathetic way.
