"Shocking experience with Receptionist"

I called to ask that someone book me an appointment with a female GP (whenever it was possible did not have to be that same day!) to discuss scan results and issues related to this and the receptionist actually shouted at me. She became very demeaning and sarcastic I was utterly shocked and disgusted. She actually argued with me about my preference to see a FEMALE Dr as this Dr is not my usual named GP but has been aware of the issue I was communicating about. She refused to listen to me when I explained my preference and then finally made some sarcastic and condescending comments and noises and referred to my previous GP visit in a discriminatory way! (which was also in no way relevant to the phone call or my request). Any EXCUSING of this behavior will be just as embarrassing as this Receptionists behavior itself. She was unprofessional and bullyish. I work in the NHS and have NEVER witnessed or experienced such disgusting behavior.

Shocked, embarrassed, disappointed, concerned.
