I attended the hospital as an eye outpatient, they then sent me to A&E for urgent admission and a CT scan, over 6 hours later I had my scan, then sent to a ward, not a wink of sleep due to a lady screaming and shouting all night, causing disruption and playing music loud on her phone not listening to any of the staffs instructions. There were also very elderly and vulnerable ladies on the ward who were also unable to move themselves, however this person was allowed to disrupt the entire ward, throw things and use discusting language. Neither the patients or staff should have to tolerate verbal or physical abuse, however I felt the staff should have arrange for her to be placed in a room on her own or even asked security to step in. I will be returning home feeling worse than I did when I arrived, pretty sure this is not how it's meant to be??
