"My operation"

About: Tameside General Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had abdominal pains for a period of time and after a couple of trips to the doctor then a call to 111 an ambulance was called for me.

Once in a&e and after a ct scan it was decided that major surgery was required. This was explained fully to me by the surgeons/consultants. Once the surgery was complete i was moved to the POU ward.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to be. All the staff on the ward were brilliant with me for the week i was there. The care offered as well as the time spent talking to me really helped me through a tremendously difficult time. I can't thank the staff on the POU ward enough
