"Excellent service,"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

When my GP referred me but I refused the referral. My GP continue to monitor my progress after 4 weeks my GP see the needs to refer me again to inclusion we both agreed it might help my mental health.

My initial assessment was done over the phone and I was transferred to the team that will support me. I was so lucky to have Chris who was passionate, not judgement, who listen to my needs.

Chris was able to provide resources for me via email and a weekly telephone review due to COVID-19. I was alway looking forward to Chris calls. The service was able to help and support me until I feel better and in much more better head space and healthy recovery.

I will recommend this service to anyone whom it might be offered to.

Dear phasegk37,

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I think it is great that you have highlighted being initially unsure of getting in touch with us and refusing your GP's referral at the start. This is a completely normal experience, particularly if it was your first time accessing mental health services, as we often fear that others will judge us or that we will not get the help we may need.

I'm so glad to hear you did get in touch with us though, as it seems from what you have written here that this was not the case! It's important to feel your therapist is non-judgemental, willing to listen and invested in seeing you thrive and work towards recovery. It seems you have really found this in Chris and that the two of you did some great work towards your goals.

I am sure Chris will be very pleased to hear how much you have benefitted from the work you have done here! I can see that you have been making use of the resources he had sent over, so please continue to do this now that your time with us has come to an end. The techniques you have learned are what will keep you in that good head space you have mentioned for the future, so take time to refer back to these materials as you move forward. I wish you all the best in doing so and that you see the benefits of the work you have put in for a long time.

Kind regards,

Adam
