My mother did not get the Covid vaccine when she should have. However the local health board maintained that their records showed that she had received it. This caused her a great deal of stress and she suffers from high blood pressure.
Fortunately, the team at her surgery -medical and administrative - were very supportive and made some enquiries on her her behalf. Through their efforts we managed to establish that a nurse had actually mistakenly given the vaccine to the woman in the flat below my mother's. When this was established and accepted by the health board, my mother received her vaccine and an apology.
I would like to thank the team at Lochend Surgery in Easterhouse Health Centre, Glasgow, for their faith in and support for my mother. Namely, Nadia, Suzanne, Donna and Liz, (receptionists), Kay (practice manager) and doctors McGinlay, Shepherd and Roberts. Thank you all.
