woke up in middle of night with searing pain under ribcage on right side and felt like a brick was lodged in my throat , took a hot bath but pain did not receede. muscle started to spasm and could not move for pain started vomiting and then muscles spasms came again felt like the end was nigh, partner phoned for ambulance, in ambulance given very strong pain relief , went to a and e, seen . tests done , throat camera done and found potato chip lodged my throat which had somehow got stuck..I suffer from Gastro acid reflux and somehow a chip travlled the wrong way after swallowing .very steady hands of a medic removed this and the pain just dissapeared and discharged 4 hours later , what fantastic care , taxi home and back to bed , what a night, but what a wonderful workforce, I thought I was going to choke to death all they kept saying was its ok, were' going to fix this, everything will be ok , ..and it was, so thank you from the bottom of my heart, my partner wasnt allowed to get into the ambulance because of corona and i remember his face, he thought that was the last time he would see me .brilliant service from ambulance to triage, treatment and discharge , thank God for the NHS
