A nice, welcoming and understanding atmosphere - even though I was wheeling around in an electric wheelchair needing people to open doors and point the way. Today the Met Office predicted rain - but the queue area outside was already covered over with tarpaulin - I only wish I'd known so I wouldn't have put on my leathers!
Certainly there was no thronging perhaps thanks to the appointment times being in ten minute intervals. The Brighton Centre has the highest of ceilings so ideal for ventilation in a virus-stricken time. Everyone kept their distance.
The jab didn't hurt and it was all over in 30 mins total, but there is one little thing about leaving the vaccination centre - you have to do it through the back entrance onto Russell Road. For the old and vulnerable being brought by a driver who is waiting somewhere nearby - this would create some problems. So please, Sussex Community NHS Trust, can you include this on your website? It's not only the getting there but also the leaving that we need to plan ahead.
All best wishes to your very pleasant team of volunteers
