The care my Brother received at the end of his life, was exemplary. All staff on this ward were absolutely wonderful keeping me informed of his condition & being gentle & reassuring at a devastating time . From the moment I spoke to the Dr I was treated with politeness, respect & kindness from all staff including Doctors, Reception, Nursing & HCA and auxiliary and the security staff.The empathy all staff shown during this heartbreaking time we will never forget . I felt I was given first class treatment as a family member . I wish could remember the names of everyone, but a huge Thank you to you all for the dignity & genuine caring that my brother received. The pressure staff are under with this deadly pandemic didn’t show on creaton ward .Staff still kindly made time to make me a hot drink,I was reassured & comforted by all the Hospital Staff during my brothers final hours . Memories I will cherish forever. A massive Thank you again to Creaton ward . My special thanks also go to the nurse who used her own device to video call us on several occasions so we could see our brother and reassure him. Gary suffered a brain injury in 2002 which left him with no capacity but staff went above and beyond to make him not feel alone or frightened.I was also treated with the upmost respect. Thank you for allowing me to be with my brother as he fell asleep . The special hearts and fingerprints you gave to my Family we will treasure forever.
