Attended a Smear appointment today at Whitworth Medical Centre, Market ST, Whitworth. The appointment was made via the "My GP" app and was at a time most convenient.
Upon arrival, the receptionists were very friendly and adhered to Covid-19 regulations (sanitise hands, wear face mask, seating 2m, surgery room sparse and clean) My appointment was bang on time, and not only did the nurse (Rachel) put me at ease but she also dispelled worries I had, myth busted to alleviate my fears and made me feel totally at ease with the situation.
She explained how Smears now worked especially in regard to the Covid situation and was more than happy to answer all my millions of questions.
I feel that the service should be praised, and more women encouraged to go for Smears.
