For three days in early February, my daughter was kept in a Ward at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for minor surgery.
She has been on medication for mental health issues that the staff of the ward was supposed to give her.
The list and dosage of medication was provided by her psychiatrist. Before leaving my daughter in hospital, I also left a note with dosage and medications with staff.
Next morning, I discovered that my daughter had been given a significantly lower dose of anti-psychotic medication and would have been given a lower dosage in the evening. The wrong dosage was recorded in the medical chart and had been entered by a consultant.
If the wrong dosage had been continually given then my daughter's mental and physical health would have been in extreme danger.
I made a complaint on that day.
As of today (10 days later), I have received no feedback.
I believe this to be negligent.
