"Used to be really good but has gone downhill fast"

About: Stuart Road

Made an appointment at the end of October because I was feeling 'strange sensations' in my chest constantly. I performed an ECG on myself at work which showed I was throwing off ectopic's every cardiac cycle. I went to the GP and initially everything was good, they did a 12 lead ECG, bloods etc and sent all the results off to a cardiologist. That was the last I heard for a long time. In the meantime my symptoms were worsening. Then I got a phone call to say they were putting me on a blood pressure tablet (at the lowest possible dose since my BP wasn't very high) and that I had to take my blood pressure daily and go back to them at the end of two weeks with the results and a summery of my symptoms. I didn't have to make an appointment...just hand the information to reception and take a form for another blood test. So up to this point everything was mostly good.

I took my BP twice a day for two weeks, wrote the summery of my current symptoms even took two more ECG's at work and then I took a day off work and went back to the GP. Rang the bell on the front door to notify reception and spoke to them through the tannoy on the front door. They asked if I had an appointment I said no and then tried to tell them why I was there. They cut me off with a 'cannot be seen unless you have an appointment'. I rang again and managed this time to tell them why I was there and what I was told to do. This time I was told to wait and wait I did for at least 15 mins in the freezing cold and snow until a receptionist came out with a blood request form. I tried to give her the information I was told to give reception but she was having none of it and completely refused to take it. I left without the blood form as the medication had not affected my BP at all (which was still not high) and the ECG was showing the problem was worsening. Anyway went home looked on the GP's website for a way to contact them without actually attending but the only thing I found was a feedback form which I completed and sent in over 6 weeks ago but still haven't heard anything back except for one phone call trying to get me to take the BP medication which wasn't having an effect. So there is actually no real way to give feedback to the GP at this practice without taking a full day off work (which you have to do due to the way the appointment system works here). To be really honest this is completely unacceptable especially nowadays with all the online systems readily available.
