I tested positive for covid a few days ago and phoned 111 for some guidance after using an oximeter. The doctor who i was speaking to called for an ambulance.
The 2 paramedics who came were amazing from the moment they got to my house. So reassuring. Explained everything. Told me what I should look out for. I was so apologetic as I thought I had wasted their time... but at no point did they ever make me feel that way. Treated me with the utmost dignity and respect.
Said to always call if need help or unsure. They could see my 9 year old daughter was worried and were chatting and reassuring her too. This was my first experience ever with paramedics and I can honestly say they couldn't have treated me any better. So much so, that my daughter is feeling inspired to be a paramedic. I just wish I knew who they were to thank properly. You're doing an amazing job! Thank you so much
