I had to go to the Urology clinic as had an infection in a testicle and had to have an ultrasound. I was nervous so say the least but it had to be done. I saw a visiting Urologist, a specialist nurse and the lady who does the scan. My fears were put at ease straight away while taking to the Urologist and nurse, i had an exam then the ultrasound. (A little of advice take baby wipes to clean gel off) I even got to see the scan of infection that was on the ultrasound which i found fascinating. I was given a prescription for meds and had to go back for follow up scan.
Had my follow up scan with the specialist nurse and the lady who does the scan. I wasn't nervous at all this time as i knew what was going to happen and its painless. They both were great, friendly and didn't rush. I didn't find it embarrassing or uncomfortable dropping trousers as being a naturist I would have totally stripped off if needed. Respect was given both times while i cleaned myself up (the gel gets everywhere lol). After another chat with the nurse i have been referred to another department for another issue.
I must add when i walked through entrance 6 i was greeted both time by a fella, who booked me in and took me to the department. The staff around the hospital are great and very helpful, even when i was trying to find the pharmacy a passing nurse put me on the right track. Ipswich hospital is so much better than Colchester, keep doing what you are doing. I will put another review on after i have visited the prostate clinic eeeekk lol.
Well done 👏
"Great friendly staff"
