"Help From Our Respiratory Physiotherapy Nurse"

About: Specialist Therapy Services / Pulmonary Rehab (Rushcliffe)

(as the patient),

I have Bronchiectasis and have been having problems with my breathing, coughing, exercises etc.

I requested this, via a Doctor, to see if I could have further help.

The Respiratory Physio has been so helpful. The exercises I had been doing were hit & miss. So I was struggling. I now have had zoom meetings with my Respiratory Physio Nurse. It has been so worth while. Seeing the Nurse doing the exercises has been excellent as there were things I was doing incorrectly. I. e. not resting between the shallow breathing & the big huff breath.

She is an extremely pleasant Nurse. I have other disabilities which obviously she knew of & kept asking if I was o. k. to continue with the session. Which I managed but was worn out afterwards as my condition does.

The Respiratory Physio also sent me helpful paperwork on the Breathing Techniques which also helped as I have a terrible memory.

Hi Aussie4+4

Its lovely to hear from you and great to hear the team were able to support you with your exercises. I hope you have continued with them and are feeling a bit stronger?

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. I will make sure I pass on your positive comments to the staff involved.

Thanks again
