For the birth of my first baby boy I ended up getting induced at AMH. Although this was not my first option it was what was needed. I went in to hospital to triage on the Friday night and stayed over in here cannot fault the staff in here and Ian the midwife was absolutely lovely and so helpful. At 6am I was moved up to labour ward and my partner got to come in then too and he was with me throughout my whole time in labour. My midwives Rachel and Zoe were absolutely amazing and student midwife Leona was so good also. I was on the drip all day and after pushing for 1. 5 hours forceps were needed but cannot fault all staff that helped me through as they were so efficient and got my baby out as quick as possible.
Once my baby was born I was put up to the summerfield ward where I stayed for 2 nights. My partner was allowed up after labour to help me get settled and then had to leave as soon as I was. Ward was really busy but thankfully I never needed much help but all the staff that did help me were great. Overall cannot fault Aberdeen at all and would happily go back there again in the future.
