On the 9th January I attended the A & E dept. and was subsequently admitted overnight to the coronary care unit as I had atrial fibrillation - the next day I received shock treatment which put my heart back into correct rhythm. I would like to thank all of the staff, from the receptionist at A & E to the all the medical staff I encountered, as they were all diligent, respectful, helpful, kind and caring - all carried out with a smile. This is even more remarkable in the current situation where I know all staff are under pressure and have been for some time. They are all a credit to EDGH and the NHS - what could have been a worrying time for me was made almost enjoyable! Even the food was delicious!
